Make Silver Jewelry Using Precious Metal Clay

With local artist Betsy Colby

 

Design and create a beautiful piece of jewelry using fine silver precious metal clay (PMC). In this class you will learn how to work with PMC as a beginner or learn more advanced skills for those students with prior experience.

8 Classes - starting on Tuesday, March 13.

Time:  12:30 – 2:30 pm

Cost: $25 per class or $190 for all 8 classes - paid in advance.

Materials Fee: $45 initial fee for 16 grams of PMC, and use of PMC Paste, & PMC Syringe in class. Additional PMC will be available for purchase for $40 per 16 gram package.

Learn Conversational Spanish with Anneva Hackley

 

Are you ready to learn a new language? Exercise the brain? Have fun and meet new people? Then this Conversational Spanish Language Class is for you.

 

- What: Introductory Conversational Spanish

- When: Wednesday, March 21 -  May 23, 2012 (Except April 11 - Easter Week)

Martial Arts – Kendo Classes with Sensei Mark and Misao Grivas

 

Kendo is the traditional Japanese style of fencing and a martial art practiced by several million people world wide.

“THE WAY OF THE SWORD”

 

For eight weeks there will be free classes and demonstration of the oldest form of Martial Arts – Kendo.

Students ages 12 through adult are encouraged to attend.

Interested students can continue classes after the introduction period. Cost to be determined.

 

Starting Wednesday March 7, 2012 from 7:00pm to 9:00 pm  at the Shelter island Youth Center
