Green Options Committee Members Wanted
The Green Options Committee (GOC) was established to advise the Town Board about environmentally friendly practices that address climate change challenges and contribute to a more resilient future for the Island.
The committee’s recent initiatives include renewable energy options for the Town and homeowners, waste reduction, and sustainable landscapes.
The committee is looking for two (2) new members who have current or prior environmental experience
- Members are appointed by the Town Board
- Membership is a volunteer position and the term of service is for three (3) years
- The Green Options Committee meets on the third Thursday of every month at 11:00 AM at Town Hall
- Members conduct informational special events throughout the year such as the Annual Green Expo
